Three pieces produced as part of a short residency for The Gallery at the Stratford on Avon Butterfly Farm

This series of three panels is an attempt to capture aspects of the remarkable transformation during the lifecycle of a butterfly. Inspired by my visit to the Butterfly farm I have been able to start a process of exploration that shall inspire work long after my residency in Stratford.

I am interested in sequence and change, thinking about the idea of growth and development through pieces created in series.

I often combine machine made finishes and hand made finishes, exploring visual connections and parallels between growth in the natural world and the technological worlds.
