Title: Connexion 2000 Date: 2000 Dimensions: 2 panels each appox 240 X 80cm Location: ntl regional HQ, Waterbeach, Cambridge UK Description: A celebratory artwork consisting of two separate relief panels for the staff of ntl Cambridge. An opportunity for me to develop my recurring interest in visual connections between the natural and technological worlds, the work explores the ntl brand values; Inspiring, Perceptive, Dependable, Pioneering and Vibrant; and functions, in relation to their new location in a former water park on the edge of the Fens. The work responds to its architectural context, casting reflections and shadows within itself and beyond. Organised by: First Take Films Architect: Project Background: Commissioned by First Take films as part of the Connexion 2000 residency programme. The project framework being to work within ntl the communications company, actively engaging staff where possible in creatively exploring their brand values and them in their new location. The end result a work for their new headquarters plus a video artwork linked to my work produced by First Take Films and Anglia TV.
