Title: Road, Rail, River- March Market Place Enhancement - banner project Date: 2000 Dimensions: Various architectural items of differing dimensions Location: March Market Place, March, Cambridgeshire, UK Description: Full range of street furniture and integrated bronze floorscape for this Fenland market town. The starting point Road, Rail, River celebrates March as a hub and the connections it has beyond itself. The scheme combines the floorscape and banners which hint at the passage of time through the Market Place. Linking the space to the surrounding Rail and River routes with a integrated range of bespoke furniture designed to take the town into the next millennium yet with it's roots firmly in tradition. Alongside the design and construction of all elements of the scheme I devised a small community project to input into the design of the four celebratory banners. |
