Home Grown: Made in Littleport

A temporary installation and community development programme to celebrate the prestigious tradition of garment manufacture in this Fenland village. The aim of the project was to celebrate and engender local pride with a temporary installation, whilst also encourage the skills normally associated with work through a programme of community workshops. Relationships were formed  throughout the village to support the project, including the business community.  The result a temporary street installation - '100 Shirts'; an archive document with layers of documentary images; plus further proposed concepts including - 'Knitted Furrows'.  This was all accompanied by an exhibition showcasing the creative process and community involvement .
